Policies

Booking & Payment

Each engagement is structured to support both the creative process and the practical realities of preparation and delivery.

To reserve a workshop or residency date, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

Payment structure:

  • 50% deposit due at booking

  • 25% due upon completion of the workshop or on-site portion

  • Final 25% due upon delivery of any associated materials (objects, images, or zines)

Once the workshop or on-site session has taken place, the initial 50% deposit becomes non-refundable.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

Because each engagement involves preparation, material sourcing, and dedicated scheduling, advance notice is required for any changes.

  • Cancellations must be made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled date

  • Cancellations made with less than 14 days’ notice result in forfeiture of the full deposit

  • Rescheduling requests will be accommodated when possible but are not guaranteed

Participation & Studio Use

Workshops and residencies are designed as open, supportive creative environments. Participants are invited to engage at their own pace and in ways that feel appropriate to them.

Many activities involve hands-on materials and tools, including clay and dry felting needles. While care is taken to create a safe and accessible environment, participation includes an understanding that:

  • Creative work involves physical interaction with tools and materials

  • Minor injuries (such as cuts, punctures, or slips) are possible

Participants are expected to engage with awareness and personal responsibility.

By participating in workshops, studio sessions, or residency activities, individuals acknowledge and accept responsibility for their participation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Whistlepig Tales Studio and Jill Foote-Hutton are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur in connection with participation.

Participation constitutes agreement to release and hold harmless Whistlepig Tales Studio from any related claims.
