Who This Work Is For
Guardian Monsters are often mistaken as something designed for children. While the forms may appear playful, this work is intentionally created for adults. Children often understand the instinct to transform fear through imagination. They do it naturally. Adults, however, are more likely to have been taught to move away from that way of working. Whistlepig Tales Studio exists to support adults in reconnecting with the capacity to engage imagination as a practical tool for reflection, resilience, and self-authorship.
In select contexts, family-based offerings may be available, where parents and children participate together. Outside of these settings, programming is designed with adult participants in mind.

Shadow Monster Workshop:
Offering a different kind of value: not something to hold onto, but something to leave behind.
The journal captures the anxiety, the fear, the worry, the regret and become the armature for the shadow monster.
The clay that we build the Shadow Monsters from will be embedded with wild flower seeds, so when they are released the clay will turn whatever worry it carried into something beautiful.

In a predetermined space on site, Whistlepig Tales will establish a creative making space, open 2-3 days a week, ready for your community members to come get their hands in clay, take out their aggression with some dry felting, or just a space to set down and doodle while their subconscious mind works to solve a larger riddle.
