Barnaby is a guardian of lighthearted courage and cheerful overconfidence. A distant cousin of Walter Wickkeeper, Barnaby tends his candle faithfully. He simply refuses to do so with unnecessary seriousness. Wherever he travels, he blows shimmering bubbles from a secret resin tucked beneath his tongue, claiming that every bubble carries away a worry and makes room for a brighter thought.

Many mistake Barnaby's relaxed demeanor for carelessness, but his flame has never gone out. He possesses an uncanny ability to laugh at setbacks, treating obstacles as temporary inconveniences rather than disasters. His bubbles drift ahead of travelers, catching glimmers of candlelight and reminding them that fear often grows larger when taken too seriously.

Among the Wickkeepers, Barnaby is known as the Keeper of Levity, the guardian who teaches that responsibility and joy are not opposites. Sometimes the bravest thing a person can do is smile, tend the flame, and keep moving forward.
