Gary is a guardian of complexity, nuance, and reconciliation. Long ago, he believed every disagreement could be solved if only the correct answer were found. He traveled the waterways between worlds, settling disputes and offering wisdom, yet every judgment seemed to leave part of the truth behind.

Everything changed when he encountered two truths that contradicted one another, yet neither was wrong. For the first time, Gary understood that some truths are not meant to be conquered or combined—they are meant to coexist.

In that moment, his form split in two. One half became the Keeper of Questions, the other the Keeper of Answers. Between them opened the crimson Listening Channel, a sacred space where opposing ideas may meet without destroying one another.

His bound jaws are a symbol of this lesson. Gary learned that wisdom is found less in speaking and more in listening. Those who stand before him often arrive seeking certainty and leave with something deeper: the ability to hold more than one truth at a time.
