Mosquito Jo
Mosquito Jo was born beneath the Summer Reeds, among a great cloud of guardians who fed on blood, conflict, and old grudges. It was simply the way things had always been done. Every young mosquito guardian was taught to seek what was sharp, restless, and red.
But Jo never liked the taste.
While the others hunted, Jo wandered. They lingered among flowers, listening to bees gossip about the weather and butterflies argue about colors. Instead of blood, Jo drank nectar. Instead of chasing fear, they collected sweetness.
The other guardians found this very strange.
"You'll never be a proper mosquito," they said.
"You'll never be fierce."
"You'll never belong."
For a while, Jo tried to change. They followed the others into the twilight hunt, but every time they approached a frightened creature, their heart felt heavy. They would drift away and find a blossom instead.
One evening, exhausted from trying to be someone else, Jo curled beneath a moonflower and made a promise:
"I would rather be myself than belong to a story that isn't mine."
The moonflower heard.
The flowers heard.
Even the stars seemed to hear.
And something remarkable happened.
The nectar Jo had gathered over the years began to bloom across their body. Rings and markings appeared like petals and pollen trails. Soft purples, greens, and whites spread over their skin, each pattern a record of a flower they had visited and a choice they had made to remain true to themselves.
The markings never faded.
From that day forward, Mosquito Jo became a guardian of authenticity, innocence, and gentle courage.
This is a one-of-a-kind Guardian Monster, not available in other color variations.
